Job Summary
The Production Worker, under the direction of the Production Lead, will primarily be responsible to ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery. This position will ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. This role will also ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs. The Production Worker must possess knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes and ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production
- Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
- Follow manufacturing and processing procedures, set machine or equipment controls, carry out production and inspection processes
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools
- Mark, record, and report defective products
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
- Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
- Cut, drill, sand, or plane materials
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines
- Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications
- Communicate with supervisor, engineers, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
- Position and install parts, subassemblies, and accessories using hand tools, power tools, and other aids like overhead hoists
Work Conditions
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade

- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50lbs
- 4 x 10 hour shifts up to 48 hours/week
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes
- Mechanically inclination considered an asset
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labour
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
