Syntron® Iris Valve

Series FV

Syntron® Iris Valves are a cost effective alternative to Butterfly Valves and Slide Gates. They are designed to permit free flow of materials without damaging your product.

Reliable, adjustable control and shutoff of powders and granular product from bins, hoppers and chutes.  

Rotate the handle through a 180 degree arc to fully open/close the valve. Various diaphragm materials are available to suit your specific application.

Operation

FV Series Control valves operated by rotating the control handle through a 180 degree arc to vary the size of the orifice from closed to fully open. 

To lock the valve in a desired position, turn control handle clockwise to tighten.

Syntron® Valves can be close against a material head load of 2-5 psi (.01 to .03 Mpa) depending upon valve size and material characteristics.

SFV and DFV Iris Flow Control Valves should not be used in applications exceeding 82°C (180°F)
